Sweet spring supplies sunny scenes
As green continues popping up here and there, it is clearer and clearer that spring is here. This week, in particular, will be a really nice week. Temperatures will stay between 40F and 70F throughout the week, although with a few showers towards the tail side.
Wind dies down before rainy weekend
Though yesterday was notably windy, today will come to be a nice normal Spring day, with dispersed clouds. Afternoon temperature today should peak above 60 Fahrenheit.
One more day of abnormal cold before return to typical April
Bostonian weather took a vigorous ascent from its frigid March into spring-like conditions this early April, culminating at a high of 76°F (24°C) on April 14, after a CPW of wonderful weather. Since the 14th, it has taken a slight dip back down, but today will be the last day of that dip. Tomorrow, expect again highs breaking the 60s Fahrenheit, and a return to partly cloudy skies and occasional April showers.
Winter clings on before arrival of spring
Although this winter featured no particularly notable blizzard in Boston like last year’s did, it does care very much to keep it cold for as long as it can. Highs will remain below freezing for much of this week, although it is now less than a month before this becomes unusual.
Today, tomorrow will be better for opening doors
We have now entered the frozen heart of winter, where freezing is more frequently a daily high than a daily low. Unlike many days of the previous week, however, no extra snow shall fall until the day after tomorrow, so for these two days, the winter invites you out if you want to build a snowman. Still remember to dress appropriately, as highs will be in the twenties.
Arctic front to bring temperature plunge
Yesterday, we at Cambridge witnessed our first lasting snow of the winter, more than one month later than the time of our first lasting snow last year. Temperatures over the last few days frequently oscillated above and below freezing, as is typical in Bostonian December.
Warm week is a pause in approach of winter
We have entered November and thus have started to notice below-freezing temperatures popping up now and then in the mornings. At this time last year, we were receiving snow from Sandy’s Nor’easter encore. This year, to the contrary, we will be seeing local temperatures on the rise, until in fact seeing mid to upper 60s°F in the afternoon of Nov. 7.
Boston weather inexplicably reasonable
It is now October, also known as that peculiar month when Bostonian weather somehow seems inexplicably reasonable.
Sizzling summer to slide aside to stormy showers
Our latest serving of heat is not to stay for long. Though we have recently found time to cherish some remnants of summer, a cold front is set to pass through the Boston area this morning, bringing rain and likely thunderstorms. Highs today are in the upper 70s°F. Expect further plunging into the upper 60s°F for tomorrow. Into next week, expect mostly sunny skies with highs continuing in the upper 60s °F.
