A delegation of 23 graduate students visited members of Congress in March to lobby for increased federal funding for scientific research. Their visit to Washington marked MIT’s ninth year participating in the annual Science-Engineering-Technology Congressional Visits Day.
A number of major changes to the Saferide routes are set to go into effect at the start of next month. The changes include updates to the Boston routes and a restructuring of the Cambridge routes, which will affect members of fraternities and sororities and graduate students living around MIT.
The MIT Chapel has been temporarily closed for a substantial renovation process, which will include key restorations and upgrades to the more than half-century-old building.
Two years after their introduction, the revised introductory biology classes and lottery system associated with the classes were marked as a success by MIT’s biology department administrators.
