The degree provides two tracks, one for those who are interested in human and machine intelligence, and another for those who are interested in neural systems.
According to the proposal, the new major was formed to cater to students “interested in careers outside of traditional nuclear industry jobs, including nuclear medicine, clean energy technologies, fusion, quantum engineering, and modeling/simulation.”
One critical topic was whether MIT should use cloud computing resources or computing resources created within the Institute.
Right now, the pilot offers free delivery from Clover, but Yusuf stated that they are working to expand to include Life Alive, Whole Heart Provisions, Saloniki, and Chipotle.
The changes will impact spring registration day, Patriots’ Day weekend, and finals week, and they will take effect May 2020.
