MIT baseball started off the season on Mar. 5 with a double-header against the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs. The Engineers finished with a .500 record after Sunday’s games, winning the first 3–2 and dropping the second 4–8. The games showcased an impressive freshman class, including catcher Thomas Allison and third baseman Tony Rice.
Assisted by a strong senior class, the Engineers finished fifth overall in the nation. Last season stands as the most successful in program history.
