Midwest prepares for strong storm system
The northern Midwest states are in the direct path of a rapidly strengthening low pressure system. Winds over 50 mph, rain, and thunderstorms will be likely from the Dakotas to the Great Lakes.
Unfortunately, quite a bit of property damage will result from the unusually high pressure gradient of this storm. Although the storm may seem far away from us, its southern edge will push a cooler air mass and precipitation across the eastern U.S. throughout this week.
A cold front will be leading this change in weather and will reach us by Wednesday. For today, the weather will be warmer than the past two days, but cloudy skies and chances for rain will continue through the work week.
