A beautiful weekend and very warm week ahead
We will finish this week with some wet and unpleasant weather. A low-pressure system will swing over Boston today, bringing steady rain. Expect the heaviest rain to be in the early evening before lightening up overnight. As the system pulls away on Friday, rain showers will continue, with a drizzle lasting most of the day. Steady northeast winds will keep temperatures in the low 50s, making it quite unpleasant. This will all change on Saturday, as a high-pressure system will move in and bring nicer weather along the way; the sun will be out and temperatures will climb into the mid 70s. Sunday will be even warmer, topping out in the 80s. There is a slight chance for some rain showers in the morning, but any clouds will clear out for a very nice afternoon.
The warm weather will continue next week. On Tuesday and Wednesday, highs in the 80s or even 90s could be possible. While this can be nice, hopefully the heat will not be too extreme for the comfort of those taking finals in Walker Memorial or the Johnson Athletic Center.
Additionally, starting on Saturday, sunsets will be after 8 p.m., marking the transition into summer with longer days and brighter evenings as we count down the days to commencement later this month.
