MIT Health offers annual campus flu clinic
clinic will occur from Oct. 7 to Oct. 10 in Walker Memorial
On Sept. 23, MIT Chief Health Officer Dr. Cecilia Stuopis ’90 sent an email to the MIT community about MIT Health’s annual campus flu clinic. The clinic will take place in Walker Memorial from Monday Oct. 7 to Thursday Oct. 10 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. All MIT ID holders and MIT Health patients older than six months can get the vaccine for free. People ages 65 or older can get high-dose vaccines. The clinic will have clinicians providing vaccines for pediatric patients. Patients younger than 18 years old are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the flu clinic.
This year’s flu vaccine is trivalent, protecting against one strain of influenza B and two strains of influenza A (H1N1 and H3N2). The flu clinic does not offer a COVID-19 vaccine.
The Lincoln Laboratory flu clinic will happen from Monday Oct. 21 to Thursday Oct. 24 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The clinic is only for current Lincoln Laboratory employees.
