Graduate student Hadi Kasab dead

CORRECTION TO THIS ARTICLE: A previous version of this article's headline misspelled Hadi Kasab's first name.

In an email to the MIT community Friday, President L. Rafael Reif announced that Hadi Kasab G had died.

Kasab was a graduate student in Computation for Design and Optimization and was a resident of the Sidney Pacific graduate residence.

According to Reif, plans to memorialize Kasab will be announced on the MIT News Office website.

Members of the community who feel affected by this death are encouraged to contact Mental Health Services at 617-253-2916, or talk to their housemasters or GRTs.

3 Given how MIT rushes to say when a death doesn't look like suicide, I'm guessing suicide.

As Hadi's uncle ,me and his mother ,father as well as the whole family ,feel so sorry about his sudden death. we beleive there is no obvious reason behind such death and we expect the MIT management to clarify and reveal the cause of his death.
