Rain to give way to warmth
A large low pressure system that has been responsible for high winds across the northern Plains and Midwestern United States earlier this week will bring rainy weather to start the weekend in the Boston area. Showers will begin in the early morning hours today and persist throughout the day, possibly becoming heavy at times as the storm persists into the evening.
Rain will taper off tomorrow morning, making way for sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures, as a southern wind brings warm air over the area. The mild weather will be short-lived, however, as the passage of a cold front in the early afternoon will knock the temperature down considerably.
A more settled weather pattern will take hold on Sunday, with sunshine and highs in the low 60s °F.
