Steven R. Lerman ’72, dean for graduate students, is now the dean for graduate education, as of March 31. The Graduate Students Office was also renamed the Office of the Dean for Graduate Education.
MIT placed third in the Putnam math competition held in December, earning $15,000 for the math department. Harvard and Princeton placed first and second, respectively. Two MIT students, Qingchun Ren ’10 and Xuancheng Shao ’09, finished in the top six.
The UA elections debate for presidential and vice presidential candidates will be held Sunday evening in the Student Center.
