A candlelight vigil in honor of the Virginia Tech shooting victims and their friends and family will be held today from 5–6 p.m. on the steps of the Student Center. Students are also encouraged to wear Virginia Tech's school colors, orange and maroon today.

The Angels and Airwaves concert will be held this Sunday, April 22 at Johnson Athletic Center at 4:30 p.m. to celebrate Biodiesel@MIT's victory in the mtvU GE ecomagination challenge. More information about the band is available at http://www.myspace.com/angelsandairwaves.

Deborah Loeb Bohren will join MIT as vice president for external affairs starting May 21. Bohren is currently executive vice president at the Washington, D.C. public affairs firm of Powell Tate. Bohren's appointment was announced in an e-mail letter to the Institute's faculty and staff on April 18.
